You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe facility provided in the message or by contacting us at hello@femlibre.au.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending communications necessary to administer an order, payment, delivery, account, customer service request or other transaction with you.
FemLibre manages electronic marketing in accordance with applicable Australian laws, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
ACMA requires commercial electronic marketing to be sent with appropriate consent, identify the sender and provide an effective means of unsubscribing.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies
FemLibre and our service providers may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate our website and understand how it is used.
These technologies may be used to:

We currently use services including Google Analytics and Meta Pixel.
These providers may collect information about your device and interaction with our website in accordance with their own privacy practices.
Depending on your browser, device and the privacy controls available on our website, you may be able to restrict or disable certain cookies or tracking technologies. Disabling certain technologies may affect website functionality.
6. When we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to operate FemLibre, including to:
-
Shopify, which provides our e-commerce platform and related services;
-
payment processors, including Shopify Payments and any other payment methods we make available;
-
Australia Post and other delivery or logistics providers where required to fulfil your order;

Google, including services such as Google Workspace and Google Analytics;

We only seek to provide service providers with information reasonably necessary for them to perform the relevant service.
Third-party providers may handle information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
7. Advertising partners and aggregated information
FemLibre does not sell your personal information.
We may analyse customer and business information to create aggregated or de-identified insights about our audience, customers, products and purchasing trends.
For example, these insights might describe general product preferences, geographic trends, purchasing behaviour or overall customer engagement.
FemLibre may use or provide aggregated or de-identified insights for research, business development, advertising, sponsorship or commercial partnership purposes, including initiatives intended to support FemLibre's broader mission.
We do not provide advertisers or commercial partners with identifiable customer-level personal information for their own direct marketing purposes unless you have specifically consented to that disclosure or the disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
We take reasonable steps to ensure information described as aggregated or de-identified is not presented in a way that identifies an individual.
8. Overseas processing and storage
Some of the technology and service providers used by FemLibre operate internationally and may store or process information outside Australia.
This may include providers such as Shopify, Google, Meta and payment or technology service providers.
The countries in which information is processed may vary depending on the provider's infrastructure and services.
Where reasonably practicable and required by applicable law, FemLibre takes appropriate steps in relation to overseas handling of personal information.
Use of international service providers does not change our commitment to responsible handling of the personal information entrusted to us.
9. Data security
FemLibre takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Depending on the information and system involved, measures may include:
-
access controls;
-
passwords and authentication controls;
-
encryption and secure connections;
-
restricting access to people who require it for legitimate business purposes;
-
reputable third-party technology platforms; and
-
appropriate administrative and operational safeguards.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If we become aware of a data breach, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable Australian law, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies.
10. Retention of personal information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently legitimately used, and to satisfy applicable legal, taxation, accounting, dispute-resolution and regulatory requirements.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required and we are not legally required to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it.
FemLibre may retain records relating to historical registrations and marketing consent where reasonably necessary to demonstrate how and when consent was obtained, manage communication preferences, maintain appropriate business records or comply with legal obligations.
11. Historical FemLibre customer information
Before launching our current online store, FemLibre operated under a different model through which people registered their interest in or participation with FemLibre.
We continue to hold certain information collected during that period.
We handle this historical information having regard to the circumstances, notices and consent arrangements under which it was originally collected, applicable law, and this Privacy Policy where relevant.
Updating this Privacy Policy does not, by itself, expand any marketing consent previously provided to FemLibre.
Where historical information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it, subject to legitimate record-keeping and legal requirements.
12. Children and young people
FemLibre's products may legitimately be purchased or used by young people.
We do not require customers to provide their date of birth as part of our ordinary purchasing process and do not intentionally collect unnecessary information about children.
We encourage younger customers to seek the assistance of a parent, guardian or trusted adult where appropriate when making online purchases or providing personal information.
If a parent or guardian has a concern about personal information relating to a young person, they may contact us at hello@femlibre.au.
13. Accessing and correcting your information
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Requests can be sent to:
hello@femlibre.au
We may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing personal information.
There may be circumstances where we are legally permitted or required to refuse access or correction. If this occurs, we will explain our decision where required.
14. Deletion requests
You may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
We will consider deletion requests having regard to applicable law and our legitimate record-keeping requirements.
We may need to retain certain information even after a deletion request, including where necessary for taxation, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance or maintaining a record of your marketing opt-out preferences.
15. Privacy enquiries and complaints
If you have a question or concern about how FemLibre handles your personal information, or believe your privacy has been improperly handled, please contact us at:
hello@femlibre.au
Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate your concern.
We will endeavour to acknowledge and investigate privacy complaints within a reasonable period and communicate the outcome to you.
Where applicable, you may also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
16. Links and third-party services
Our website may contain links to websites, platforms or services operated by third parties.
FemLibre is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, technology, service providers, legal obligations or information-handling practices.
The current version will be published at femlibre.au and will show the date it was last updated.
Where changes are significant and it is appropriate to do so, we may take additional reasonable steps to bring those changes to the attention of affected individuals.
